We would like to introduce you to our team of doctors, nurses and administration at Medical At Nerang.
Dr Iosif qualified as a doctor and did his vocational training in Romania and has lived and worked in Australia for 20 years. Dr Iosif is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a specialist in General Medicine.
Dr Iosif has a Medical Diploma in General Medicine, a Diploma in Obstetrics from the South African College of Medicine. Dr Iosif has a special interest in both men’s and women’s health.
Dr Iosif is a experienced in counselling patients with psychological needs; performs all minor surgical procedures and, as a family man, relates well to children. Dr Iosif practices general medicine which, as an all-rounder, makes him the perfect fit for our family based general practice.
Dr Siddiqui graduated in 1985 from Pakistan and was awarded the Certificate of Honour for achieving a distinction.
After three years of practice in Pakistan, she served the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman as an overseas doctor for a remote area, which helped to gain expertise in various fields of medicine. She served the Ministry of Health, United Arab Emirates until 2001 in Emergency and Internal Medicine departments for eight years. In 2001, she left for Canada and successfully gained Licentiate of Medical Council of Canada.
In 2010, she became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK. She moved to Australia in 2014 and brought a wealth of experience from abroad. She worked in Roma, QLD from where she gained experience in rural and remote medicine and aboriginal health. She relocated to the Gold Coast in 2015 and has been practicing to the best of her skills.
Noelene commenced her nursing career in 1979 and has practiced in a diverse range of health settings over the past 39 years, which have included Medical & Surgical Nursing, Midwifery, Management in Aged Care and Training & Assessment.
Noelene currently holds the position of Clinical Nurse Co-ordinator across our three practices and her passion lies in training graduates to become confident and competent nurses in the ever-changing GP clinical environment. Supporting nurses to remain up-to-date with their clinical skills and encouraging nurses to continually develop both personally and professionally, is a fulfilling and rewarding aspect of her role, along with patient education, health coaching, and positive patient outcomes. Noelene has a special interest in wound management and prevention and management of chronic disease processes.
Noelene was awarded Gold Coast Nursing Award 2017 sponsored by 1029 Hot Tomato.
Lindsay is a Registered Nurse originally from the Philippines, having lived in New Zealand where she studied Diploma in Business Management (Health Services), and then went on to work in Age Care. Lindsay enjoyed her time as a Senior Health Care Assistant and Health & Safety Coordinator.
Lindsay moved to Australia in 2016, through IRON Program and with the assistance of practice. Lindsay enjoys and is passionate about being a practice nurse and welcomes every opportunity to broaden her knowledge and skills to deliver efficient practice nurse care with utmost compassion.
Nurse Betty moved to the Gold Coast 5 years ago from New Zealand where she studied as a psychopaedic nurse graduating 3 years later and then going on to become a Comprehensive Nurse via a Bridging Nurses Course.
Betty became a Maternal Health Nurse for mother and child – known as a “Plunket Nurse”,visiting mum and baby at home and she also ran 2 rural clinics. On weekends Betty worked as a “District Nurse” visiting people at home discharged from Palmerston North hospital and wound cares.
Betty has worked overseas in Saudi Arabia “King Faisal Specialist Hospital” in Riyadh and Jeddah, working on VIP Assignments for the Royal Family.
Betty was very delighted to be chosen to work at “Medical at Nerang” and she has as the clinic as her home away from home and working with professional people delivering the highest quality of care to our patients.
Betty has always had a passion for nursing and caring for people in all walks of life in general practice.
